National Homeownership Month
with Sustainable
Homeownership Events
Nonprofit helps homeowners
to prevent foreclosure and launches new
initiative
to revitalize communities across the country
Washington, DC—HomeFree-USA is
recognizing National Homeownership Month by
hosting several events and classes to raise
awareness of sustainable homeownership
and to launch a new initiative to revitalize
communities. National
Homeownership Month is observed each June to
highlight the critical role of homeownership in
improving lives, creating jobs, and
strengthening communities across America.
Join
HomeFree-USA on Saturday, June 4th,
9:00 am – 1:00 pm, for the Modifications, Mortgage Options…Getting
Through the Storm event featuring Iyanla
Vanzant.
Homeowners seeking to modify their
mortgages will gain a clearer understanding of
the modification process and learn about other
mortgage options. Unemployed homeowners
seeking mortgage relief will learn about new
programs that offer assistance to help them
stay in their homes. This free event held at
HomeFree-USA’s headquarters at 3401A East-West
Highway, Hyattsville, MD, is positioned to help
all homeowners get motivated, get inspired and get
moving. Register online at http://www.homefreeusa.org/ or call (301)
891-8423.
HomeFree-USA will launch a new
initiative to revitalize and rebuild
communities at a Special Leadership Luncheon
for community, corporate, civic, and
faith-based leaders on Wednesday, June
15th.
The luncheon theme is: Rebuilding
Wealth: A Financial Awakening in America
and will feature Reverend DeForest Soaries,
author and guest on CNN’s Black in
America.
Rev. Soaries will speak on, The
Critical Impact of Debt and Financial
Mismanagement.
“Homeowners, mortgage companies and
communities are still hurting from the
foreclosure crisis and economic downturn” said
Marcia Griffin, HomeFree-USA Founder and CEO.
“Nonprofits have their hands on the ‘pulse of
the people, and we have workable solutions to
this crisis. We are assembling community
leaders for an open, honest discussion about
creating partnerships to improve the lives of
citizens in our
communities.”
Weekly classes to guide homebuyers and
homeowners in buying and keeping homes, to
assist delinquent homeowners, and to create
credit and debt resolution strategies will
continue to be held throughout the month and
beyond at HomeFree-USA.
