HomeFree-USA, City of Atlanta, Freddie Mac, Bank of America and SunTrust Bank Partner for Atlanta 4 All.

HomeFree-USA partners with the City of Atlanta, Bank of America and SunTrust Bank to implement a Freddie Mac Workforce Home Benefit Initiative to increase city employees' homebuying knowledge.  The Initiative brings together credible mortgage providers, counseling agencies and other housing professionals to provide information on purchasing or refinancing a home, access to affordable mortgage products, as well as downpayment and closing cost assistance that is currently being administered by the City.  It will allow the City to promote “in-town” living and its many lifestyle, economic and environmental benefits.  In turn, the City will enjoy increased tax revenue, decreased foreclosed properties and more stabilized neighborhoods.

Because of a strong commitment to working with underserved populations as well an interest in stabilizing the neighborhoods in the City of Atlanta, Bank of America and SunTrust will participate in this Initiative.  These lenders will also participate in the City of Atlanta’s downpayment and closing cost assistance programs—an added benefit for the Initiative.

The launch event for Atlanta 4 All was held Wednesday, July 29, at the City Hall Atrium. Mayor Shirley Franklin will be the special guest speaker. Please revisit for more details on upcoming events associated with the program.

The Georgia Dream Homeownership Program makes purchasing a home affordable for low-to-moderate income families and individuals by offering fixed, low-interest rate loans. In addition, the Georgia Dream Homeownership Program offers down payment and closing costs assistance to eligible borrowers, which can greatly reduce the out of pocket expense to the buyer. Georgia Dream also provides free homebuyer education through a partnership with local entities to help homebuyers take a comprehensive look at the home buying process and home ownership responsibilities.
