Dear Elma,

I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for all the work that your program at Homefree does to help those in need.  I never thought in a million years that I would be able to become a homeowner and Homefree helped make that possible.  I attended the 10 Secrets that every home buyer should know back in September and joined the same night. Some people I know questioned the membership fee but I felt that it was worth every dollar. I did not know anything about the home buying process and I learned so much from all the classes that I attended.  By the time I got ready to close on my home I felt comfortable and knowledgeable about my purchase.

I also want to recognize my mortgage advisor Ron Farmer!  He is the greatest, he was there with me every step of the way and was genuinely concerned about me not getting taken advantage of being a first time home buyer.  He has a wealth of knowledge and I appreciate all the help that he provided.  Thanks to Homefree and Ron as I started the program in Sept 09 and closed on my first home January 28, 2010 !

KCPT Salues HomeFree-USA

Dear Elma,

It's been just over a year now since KCPT began rolling up its sleeves and digging deeper into the implications of the foreclosure crisis in Kansas City.

We've produced five primetime TV programs directly related to the issue and we couldn't have done it without you. I want to take this opportunity to salute you and your staff at HomeFree-USA for being such a terrific content partner in our efforts to better inform this community.

You have provided expertise on our public affairs programs and your staff of knowledgable counselors have filled helpline phonebanks in our studio to ensure all Kansas Citians get free and credible advice on how to resolve their personal housing problems.

We have heard from a number of KCPT viewers who have been helped by your agency. They have reported back on how respectfully they've been treated by your staff and how HomeFree-USA was responsible for keeping them in their homes.

After each TV program, there are always a number of people who call me directly and say they saw the show and want to share with me their personal housing horror stories. I always refer them to HomeFree-USA. There may be other places where people can turn, but you have developed a reputation as the leading and most trusted place for professional and timely asistance to those in desperate need of mortgage related help.
