8th National Leadership and Housing Counseling Training Conference

This year's conference was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Las Vegas, NV March 28 and 29 for the Leadership Conference and March 30 through April 1 for a NeighborWorks® Place-based Training for housing counselors.

The conference theme was Rebuilding Trust in Homeownership. Leaders from throughout the housing industry convened to present fresh ideas for restoring the public’s faith in homeownership and the homebuying process.

Faith Schwartz is the Executive Director, HOPE NOW Alliance, a coalition of nationwide servicers/lenders, investors, counselors and other mortgage market participants.

Dr. DeForest B. Soaries, Jr. is the Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens in Somerset, New Jersey. His pastoral ministry focuses on spiritual growth, educational excellence and economic empowerment.

Alan Jenkins is Executive Director of The Opportunity Agenda, a communications, research, and policy organization dedicated to building the national will to expand opportunity for all.

Dr. Tilli Williams, Licensed Naturopathic Physician, is a Wellness Coach. She maintains a private practice in Washington, DC, is a radio talk show host, the author of several articles and has conducted seminars nationally on health and wellness.
